Infrastructure & Central Utility Plants
Triad has the experience and skill sets necessary to deliver topflight project and engineering management services to our clients in the power generation and central utility plant arenas in a method that combines efficient, cost effective and timely solutions. This allows our clients to bring on necessary utility generation capabilities through new facilities, or from expansion projects for a phased generation capacity approach, meeting their long-range site operating requirements. With years of MEP experience in the power and utility generation industry, as well as our diversified knowledge of the inner workings of the design, construction, procurement, commissioning and overall project management of these facilities, our senior leadership team provides the necessary, steady, and clear direction of management of these projects from the conceptual /ROI period, through the successful commissioning and turnover / operational phase. Triad’s capabilities extend to current and long-range site utility consumption analysis, expansion ROI analysis and logistical support of equipment selections, client-direct procurement and accelerated release-to-fabrication production scheduling. Our experience includes government based defense related support, pharmaceutical R&D and industrial operations facilities, as well as large commercial joint ventures, public utility generation and aerospace projects.
Mission Critical Installations & Redundancy
When there are mission critical projects, or operations that require a true, cost effective solution for an N+1 or N+2 redundant component, control sequencing or system, Triad has the knowledge and experience to deliver these projects to our clientele in the most cost effective delivery method, including the financial impacts regarding consideration of the initial installation costs, yearly operating & maintenance costs, and overall life-cycle costs of the equipment and systems components involved. Triad’s experience base encompasses mission critical facilities in the spacecraft pre-launch payload processing arena, emergency command & control government operations centers, Pharmaceutical R&D facilities requiring animal health, safety and welfare implementation and operational characteristics in meeting all regulatory guidelines and accreditation requirements. Our practical experiences in the design, installation and operations of these facilities provides our team the ability to guide a project through the necessary steps to ensure the failure mode backup / redundant equipment, controls and systems react and perform as required to meet the critical demands of the project parameters.
Maintenance Engineering & Energy Efficiency Upgrades
Triad’s years of engineering, design and project management services across numerous industries involving a wide range of varying and complex projects, provides our team with the knowledge and experience to support our clients with plant maintenance, repair and operating parameters consistent with intended yearly operational goals that effect the net-operating profit of the company. Our goal is to assist our clients with their production or procurement of the necessary utility services at the most cost effective and energy efficient method while limiting the exposure to unplanned outages or incurring undue necessary overhead.
Our team has provided services to clientele in support of their yearly plant shutdown repair and maintenance activities. Our services range from the planning and identification of critical repairs, to the management, outage coordination and implementation oversight and commissioning activities for return-to-service. Triad’s leadership team brings years of preventive, predictive and failure analysis experience to our clients. This experience carries over to our consulting services participation with design and contracting/installation teams to ensure that the serviceability, maintainability and recommended manufacturer’s installation configurations are carried throughout a project.
Optimization of utility usage through the initial design process or through energy efficiency modifications and improvements, is an integral consideration of every new build, retrofit and expansion project. Triad is well versed in supporting these initiatives through site, plant and system energy efficiency analysis, including impacts on CAPEX ROI and US EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalency Program CO2 emissions reductions resulting in fuel conversions or other efficiency modifications. Our projects have included fuel conversions from simple electric to hot-water reheat coils, to a complete site wide bulk liquid propane to natural gas fired central utility plant and corresponding animal buildings for a global Pharma clinical R&D facility. We are experienced in building systems, commissioning, component re-calibrations, variable frequency drive additions and system sequencing refinements for confirmation of optimal campus wide and building system performances.
